With a pink slip in hand and $100 left in the bank, you need to make money - fast. Thankfully, gig work app "Odd Jobs" has you covered. With six months of hustle and savvy investing, you ought to have enough funds in your account to literally break the bank!
Odd Jobs is a hybrid of stock market simulator and frantic minigame gauntlet. Earn liquid funds by completing a gig here and there and make bank in the stock market. The going gets tougher and the gigs get faster the deeper into the game you get; so stay on your toes, think fast, and pay close attention to news breaks to know where to invest your money.
- Complete a variety of gigs as they ramp up in speed and intensity!
- Take investment advice from a parrot!
- Participate in high stakes trivia!
- Spot counterfeit currency!
- Saw through a log!
- Make your monthly savings goal every 8 gigs - or it's curtains!
- And who knows... maybe for the Odd Jobs aficianados, there's a hard mode tucked away somewhere...?
This game was made for the CoolMath Games 2026 Game Jam, themed around "Breaking The Bank." It's meant to teach financial literacy, the fundamentals of the stock market, how to incorporate market news into your investment strategies, the value of hard work, and how to stash savings in a High Yield Savings Account.
This game features audio assets from free-stock-music.com and freesound.org, and music tracks by Kevin MacLeod. Some graphical assets are from unsplash.com, pixabay.com, and Canva Pro. Full credits with CC0/Attribution 4.0 accreditation can be found in-game

Fun game! It would be nice to have a button to buy / sell stocks in different amounts (2x, 5x, 10x, etc.) but otherwise this bangs, like Wario Ware meets STONKS9800
super cool game so far, but the search minigame is broken for me, its a mile away from my mouse and i cant search for anything

Thanks for playing, and for reporting that behavior! Seems to be related if your screen/system resolution is set to a zoom? We have best results on Firefox.
We're working on a patch that should resolve it for all users post-jam.

wonderfull little game, quite enjoyed it. though the minigame sections didnt quite feel long enough to get into that flow state most often found with games like these
